  4. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  5. 2 large eggs, beaten
  6. 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  7. 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  8. 1 teaspoon baking soda
  9. Pinch salt
German Chocolate Frosting
  1. 1 cup evaporated milk
  2. 1 cup sugar
  3. 3 egg yolks
  4. ½ cup butter
  5. 1 teaspoon vanilla
  6. 1 1/3 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  7. 1 cup chopped pecans
  8. Optional: ¼ cup chocolate candy coating, melted for drizzle
